As we enter the end of 2021, there is so much to reflect on and appreciate about the past year, and we would like to take a moment to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our clients and agent partners. Because of you, with every property we sell, we’re able to fund a safer home to be built for our friends in need through our Key for Key® giving program in partnership with Giveback Homes. Since founding the program in 2017, we have helped fund over 300 homes, and despite the challenges of the past year, we’re excited to share that our sales have allowed us to fund 127 homes, 40 of which have already been successfully completed in the Los Lotes community of El Salvador. This means 40 families will not only have a roof over their heads, but also be empowered by the financial stability that comes with homeownership, and we look forward to the number of families continuing to grow. Let us introduce you to some of our recent Key for Key® home recipients.
Murga Ramirez Family — Jose and Mayra are a sweet, young couple. When Jose isn’t working and serving in the armed forces, he likes to play futbol in the community, and he worked so hard to help get their home completed. Mayra hopes to go to school for hotel and tourism administration so she can help provide income as they look to start a family together.Alfaro Vasquez Family — Victor had a smile on his face the entire time while he was digging a giant rock out of the ground. He and his wife Marta met when he was playing as a goalkeeper on the community courts every Sunday. One of their greatest achievements as a family is that their fifteen-year-old son, Luis, was able to immigrate to the United States to study and finish school. Their second greatest achievement is their new home.Hernandez Castillo Family — Mother, María Elena, has lived all her life in the Los Lotes community and has always been the only financial support of her children. Her girls Illeana and Adriana, were the absolute sweetest and happy to participate in the key ceremony.Vazques Villalta Family — The family has lived in the Los Lotes community for the past nine years and were very happy and thankful to be a recipient of a new home. This site also had a lot of big rocks, so it took lots of hard work to get the foundation completed making this signing ceremony super sweet!Rodriguez Menjivar Family — Anselmo has lived in the Los Lotes community all his life on the land granted by his wife's uncle. He and his wife, Dora Alicia, have 8 children, of which only the last two still live with them. They are excited to have protection and a safe place to call home, and as you can see, it was a super joyful key ceremony!
