I moved to the Wood River Valley in 1982 from New England with just my skis and a suitcase. Like many who've been in town for a while, I came here to ski for the winter and couldn't think of one good reason to leave this little slice of heaven. Needless to say, I have added to my worldly goods since then and have called this area home for more years than my birth state of New Hampshire. I live with my husband Earl, my daughter Whitney and a dog and cat in a log cabin in the pines on the edge of Warm Springs Creek 10 miles west of Ketchum. We have lived in the house since 1989, remodeling it here and there as it was originally built in the 1950s as a summer cabin. Every time we consider moving to something a bit more conventional and convenient to town, we ski in the hills behind our house, soak in the hot tub, sit on the deck and listen to the creek, and wonder what we were thinking. In 1992, after 10 years in the retail business, I decided to make the move to Real Estate. Teaming up with my good friend and past employer, Robert Renfro, we opened and developed a very successful national franchise office which we subsequently sold to one of the partners in the summer of 2000. We have since purchased a wonderful office space in town with views of the ski runs and mountains to the north. I received my Real Estate Brokers License in 1998 and my Certified Residential Specialist Designation in 2001. In September of 2005, I joined Sun Valley Sotheby's International Realty shortly after they acquired one of the largest Real Estate Brokerage firms in the Ketchum/Sun Valley area. Although I continue to do business out of my private office, I feel fortunate to be affiliated with not only Sotheby's International Realty, but with the highly professional team of Agents that make up the Sun Valley office.
