A native of Havana, Cuba, Carmen Duncan has been a full time Realtor in New Orleans for the past 32 years. She holds the Certified Residential Specialist, Accredited Buyer Representation and Historic Home Specialist designations, and has been associated with RE/MAX New Orleans Properties since 1999. She has extensive experience in the fields of sales, marketing, negotiation and fund-raising. Carmen is a graduate of the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service with a degree in International Economics and from the A. B. Freeman School of Business Administration of Tulane University with an MBA in Marketing. An active find-raiser in the New Orleans community, Mrs. Duncan is past Gala Chairman of the Audubon Nature Institute’s Zoo to Do, past Co-Chair of the Hispanic Heritage Foundation’s Azucar Ball, as well as the Odyssey Ball for the New Orleans Museum of Art, and Response - Artists in the Park for the New Orleans Botanical Garden Foundation. She currently serves on the Board of the New Orleans Hispanic Heritage Foundation and the Executive Committee of the Women of the Storm. She is a past Board member of the New Orleans Botanical Garden Foundation. Carmen is an active member of various community organizations including the Junior League of New Orleans, the New Orleans Town Gardeners, and Trinity Episcopal Church. Carmen is married to a fifth generation New Orleanian, J. Kelly Duncan, a partner and board member of the Jones Walker Law Firm, and mother of Johnson Kelly Duncan III. She is the proud owner of a very good-looking, but not terribly well-behaved, English Cocker Spaniel named Winston and the sweetest/ smartest Mixed Shephard named Betsy. Carmen is an avid hiker and enjoys fly-fishing and gardening. She speaks Spanish fluently.
